PHOENIX The project was done for the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen in China. The school needed a new rendition of the sports mascot. The phoenix had to look majestic, strong and mighty. The team spent many hours discussing the shapes of the wing, the look in the bird’s eye, and the hook of his beak. Where should the flames come from? Can the tail be longer? What about the font? One would never guess the amount of energy that goes into creating a seemingly simple image. After multiple meetings, dozens of sketches and mock-ups the Phoenix has finally risen.
